ConservaTree: Leading the Way in Sustainable Tree Care Solutions

ConservaTree, founded by Patrick Masterson, began its journey in 2007 and was officially incorporated in 2011.

Born from a vision to offer a distinguished alternative to conventional tree services, ConservaTree sets itself apart with a deep-rooted commitment to preserving and retaining large trees. Under the slogan "Professional Tree Preservation," our mission is to foster enduring relationships with our clients and their trees. We achieve this through unwavering trust and unparalleled customer service.

As a local company staffed by certified arborists, ConservaTree nurtures the community's green giants and takes pride in mentoring the next generation of arborists. Our approach to tree care is defined by our dedication to 'low impact' work, ensuring that while we cater to the health and longevity of trees, we also protect and preserve the integrity of the surrounding landscapes.

Our team embodies our mission, working diligently to uphold the values of trust, expertise, and environmental stewardship. At ConservaTree, professional tree preservation is not just about maintaining trees but about sustaining the life and beauty they bring to our communities.

Hi, I'm Alex Morrison, a co-owner at ConservaTree

and an ISA Certified Arborist. My journey in arboriculture has been deeply rooted in local initiatives, including a memorable tenure as Chair of the City of London Tree and Forest Advisory Committee. I'm particularly proud of co-creating the 'TreeMe' grant program with the City of London, which is designed to support owners of large trees with maintenance costs. My ambition is to foster a community of well-trained and certified arborists in London through the opportunities my company offers.

Outside of work, my passions include the great outdoors, baseball, and spending quality time with my family. My academic background is in Business Economics from university, where I spent my summers as a Seasonal Research Technician with Syngenta Seeds Canada. This blend of business acumen and hands-on plant research laid a strong foundation for my career. After university, I continued with Syngenta Seeds, balancing my role with weekend work as an arborist until I fully transitioned to arboriculture. Now, with 12 years of experience and my ISA certification, I am committed to advancing the practice of tree care and preservation.

Hello, I'm Patrick Masterson, co-owner of ConservaTree

and an Ontario Certified Arborist. My arboriculture career began in 2007, and I founded ConservaTree in 2008, growing the company from the ground up. In 2015, I launched 'EducatedClimber.com' to share insights into the apprenticeship journey within our field. The site has become a fundamental resource for those new to arboriculture, offering a blend of practical knowledge and republished texts essential to our industry.

Climbing isn't just my profession—it's my passion. Describing me as an expert climber might be modest; I see myself as a master of navigating the canopy. When not perched in a tree, I cherish time on my rural property, raising my family and soaking up every moment together. My path to becoming an arborist started with seeking an apprenticeship at a local company, where I learned invaluable lessons—what to do and what not to do. With 15 years of experience, I continue to share my love for tree climbing and arboriculture, educating and inspiring the next generation of arborists.
